Description

Learn to capture nature in living colour with award winning artist Antoinette Blyth. Antoinette will introduce learners to the techniques artists use to draw and paint plants from nature. Classes will explore concepts such as the importance of observation with regard to the plant, replicating that information with our drawing, interpreting the colours we see in the plant by the skill of mixing colours on palette and on paper and understanding the technique of applying colour to retain the delicacy and texture of the plant. From here the class moves on to view the subject in a more impressionistic manner and Antoinette may introduce subjects such as landscapes, seascapes and other subjects as the class desires.
